If the child protection conference decides that the child is likely to suffer significant harm in the future, the child will therefore require inter-agency help and intervention to be delivered through a formal child protection plan. The primary purposes of this plan are to prevent the child suffering harm or a recurrence of harm in the future and to promote the child’s welfare.
