The Child Death Review Process

This Section sets out the processes that should be followed when a child dies in the LSCB area covered by a Child Death Overview Panel.

It covers

  • the rapid response to an unexpected death, which is set out in the Pan Cheshire Management of Sudden Unexpected Death in Infants and Children (SUDIC) procedure,
  • the overview of all child deaths in the area.
